^^this is what she thinks she looks like but actually does not^^
Break Mwango is a 17 -year-old aspiring novelist who legitimately has no idea how she manages to keep track of all the crazy plot-lines and theories she dreams up for her stories, considering she has the absolute worst memory of anyone living. Her favourite way of describing the writing process to the uninitiated is: “it’s like being a god, a director, a producer, a screen-writer, an actor, a make-up artist, a stunt coordinator, and a professional owl. Doesn’t make sense? Neither does writing. It just pours out of you, and then it’s up to you to deal with the mess.” Dark fantasy with twisted romance is her specialty. She can’t stand horror because she is like a cat, in that she gets scared too easily, but she loves including lots of blood and gore in her writing. This is ironic considering a subgenre of Ink Stained, her dubbed 'passion project', is horror. Break loves making her characters go through unimaginable experiences and not always redeeming them for their pasts. She has a habit of adding in little references connecting each of her works to each other. The most common one is the inclusion of 'The Cross Keys' cafe. She considers every world she has created to co-exist in the same universe.
Break is the author of seven works. Two are complete, one of which she doesn’t mind sharing to others, and the other one being a story she began when she first started writing at eleven and is willing to kill to ensure that it never sees the light of day. She is currently working on a third ongoing projected titled INK STAINED based on Japanese folklore. Ink Stained and Ravendown can be found on Wattpad. If you ask her if she feels guilty for abandoning her other projects in perpetual 'development hell' she will reply with: "what guilt? What is this unknown phenomenon you call 'guilt'?"
What she has to say about writer's in general is this: "We have literally no chill. At all."
One more thing -- the name is pronounced 'brek', not 'brayk'. And it is a pen name, not her actual name, thankyouverymuch.
You can find her on only two social media -Facebook and Instagram. Although it's quite rare to catch her on either one, so it's better to email her instead. She has a love-hate relationship with social media because:
A) Hours can be wasted staring at a screen, and the ensuing guilt at wasting so much time is not a fun thing to deal with. B) The thought, 'I should be writing' is a recurring one that rears up it's ugly, guilty head every time. C) Some of the posts are honestly funny, to be fair. D) They can also be quite relate-able to what she's writing about, or just relate-able. E) The reaction of the above 'relate-ability' of the posts can be found in B.
